Q: My Gmail account has been disconnected, ( I forgot my password), and the reference accounts and cell phone are from my previous work. ( I have retired ). I cannot access iTunes, or iCloud, I have set up another mail carrier, I have tried many times.

I need help, the default account is gmail, I cannot access, forgot my password, and the other account and cell phone numbers to recover this account are work accounts/#'s, and do not have access anymore. I have set up a yahoo account, however, the default continues to go to gmail. I cannot access itunes, or any of the apple communities. ( I am happy to see the security, however, now I am stuck. HELP!

    I give up, tried so many things, it continues to go to gmail, and this is NOT active anymore????? How to change to another acrrier?????

    What, exactly, "continues to go to gmail"? You need to provide us with very specific information as to what things you are having problems with. One at a time.

    I have a similar problem, My son logged in using an iCloud email address. He cannot recall the password to this as well as to iCloud or iTunes as I suspect they are the same. Apple keeps locking the account when we try answer the Authentication questions as he cannot recall what he entered. I have created a new account but cannot remove the iCloud account from his iPhone as it always wants the password. Truly stuck and would appreciate some help. Thanks

    Yeah - you don't want to create a new account if you have a lot of purchases on the old one. You can contact Apple Support to have the Security Questions reset:

     

    ACCOUNT SECURITY CONTACT

     

    After you get back into your account, you might want to look into Two Step Verification, which sends a verification code to another iOS device or smartphone whenever you manage your Apple ID, or are required to verify your identity. You never have to remember Security Questions again:
