Control centre access.

I just upgraded to the 5s and I cannot access the control centre from the lock screen anymore. I have read that this is due to a security issue. This is a function that I always use. It is very convenient, specially in my job when I need access to the torch quickly,

I would like to ask if this functionality will be restored? And when?
