Time Capsule factory reset taking a long time. Is this normal.

After having problems connecting to the Internet, I tried restoring the factory settings my Time Capsule 2T, but it's taking a very long time. It's now been more than 15 minutes and it is still restoring. Is this normal? I don't want to interrupt it because I'm afraid I might lose my file saved in the base station. Please help!

Time Capsule 802.11n (4th Gen), OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

It should be 2min.. something is seriously wrong.

Describe the current state of the TC. You can reboot it now anyway.. whatever happened has happened. If it fails to start up your are suffering a problem on the Gen4 which is becoming rather common.

Does that describe the problem.
