Q: Can't finish windows installation because of no keyboard or mouse

Try the 4Gb disk.

So I tried my very best and started all over:

1. Created a USB 2.0 disk via the Bootcamp Assitant

2. Downloaded the BootCamp5.1.5640 files and put them on the disk, replacing the old (Assistant’s) files.

3. Rebooted trying all usb ports with no success.

5. copied the Intel USB hub drivers mentioned earlier to the disk: not successful anymore.

I’m hopeless getting windows 7 to work im my mac. I’ll give Windows 8.1 a try.

What files were replaced in Step 2?

I replaced the file AutoUnattend.xml and the to folders $WinPEDriver$ and BootCamp and all of their content.

These three were in the BootCamp5.1.5640 zip file.

With the USB connected, if you power down your Mac and power it back up while holding the Alt/Option key, what selections do you see from the USB?

This time only "Windoes". In one of my earlier tries I saw also stuff like "Efi Boot".

Please select Windows. Does the Windows installer start?

Yes, but without mouse and keyboard.

This indicates that $WinPEDriver$ drivers are not being loaded correctly. Do you have El Capitan?

No, i'll stay on maverick for a while.

I tried Windows 8.1 and could install it within no time and with no problems, so I will stay with this. All is running fine!

All I have to do is getting a proper license. I'm evaluating right now.
