Q: Today is NOT 12-31-2007 nor is it ANY day in 2037.  *** now?????

Yesterday was one of the most productive and least aggravating days I've had with my computer since introducing the repulsive Mavericks monster into my world.  Thought all the help I'd gotten on these forums had finally helped me tame the stupid beast but . . . . nooooooooooo!

Today, I turned on my computer and it tells me today is 12-31-2007.  I tried to fix this lunacy in System Preferences but it was unsuccessful.

I could either set the time correctly or the date correctly, as long as I'm happy to pretend this is 4-11-2037.  It isn't, of course.  And it isn't 6:52 PM on 4-11-2037, either.  It's actually 10 AM.  Seems it's always a new nightmare with Mavericks.

What happened now?????

It seems obvious Apple has no clue about what they're doing now that Steve Jobs is gone.  This is shameful.  I can't keep investing so much time on this destructive "free upgrade."  Is it time to bring the feds' consumer protection people?
