Mail STOPPED Sending...

I went to send an email this morning and it goes to an Outbox and will not send. I get this:

Connections to the server “p04-smtp.mail.me.com” on the default ports timed out.

I restarted and etc, but no luck. My mail works properly on iCloud.com, and i created my account in Airmail and no issue... and i am receiving mail, it just doesnt send.

any ideas?

Macbook Pro with Mavericks, all updated and etc.

Same with me here. Since about 12 hours I can't send mail via my icloud accout. It won't connect to p04-smtp.mail.me.com. It works on none of my computer, not even on the iPhone. Only going to icloud.com in Safari works for sending mail. Receiving mail works just fine.

I'm getting the same problem as you, with the same error message.

Guessing Apple have an issue

Same here. Connection Doctor and System Status say all would be fine. I am on OS X 10.9 but same issue occurs on my iPhone 4S with iOS 7.1.

I deactivated Wifi on my iPhone to try sending via 3G (T-Mobile). It works with 3G from the iPhone while it does not work via my Wifi network, which btw. is also connected to a 3G network (Drei).

I am in Vienna. Where are you located?

Just to let you all know. This is an apple smtp issue

Spoken to tech help and they confirmed they are working on a fix

Hi - has this been fixed since April. Having the same problem on Snow Leopard and now iPhone 4s iOS7.
