Need help. Rented a movie last night, didn’t watch but it won’t show up as rented. Tried to rerent today but it tells me to go to the settings and “check for rentals”. Didn’t work. Tried to PURCHASE the same movie and it won’t let me

Someone please tell me how to watch a movie I rented, but never watched and now I can't RErent it or purchase it.

Rented it last night. Didn't watch it but it isn't listed on my Apple TV as a "rented" movie. Tried to RE rent it and I was told to go to the 'settings' page and check for rentals on the iTune Store. No luck... just a spinning wheel (forever).

Tried to PURCHASE the same movie and it sends me back to the settings page to ... again... 'check for rentals'.

Would like to watch this movie, but it doesn't seem to be in the cards.

Any assistance would be nice.
