Macbook Pro Retina (late 2013) reinstall need help

So i intstalled ubuntu (13.10) and stupidly chose to erase os x.. Now I want it back. What do i do?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities


As you have got a MacBook Pro with Retina display, you do not need any disc to reinstall OS X:


  1. Hold Command, Option (Alt) and R keys while your Mac is starting up to start up in Internet Recovery.
  2. Open Disk Utility, and format your hard drive in "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" with a GUID partition map > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU1.html
  3. Close Disk Utility and reinstall OS X.


Note that you will lose Ubuntu after doing it.
