ADOBE - ACCEPT END USER LICENCE AGREEMENT

I contact an organisation via their website regularly and recently have been unable to print documents 'without Adobe Reader' so needed to carry out an update. This repeatedly failed so removed the original Adobe from downloads and installed the new version. Now once logged in to the site I am faced with a message: 'Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User Agreement, then quit and relaunch the browser'. Please can someboduy tell me how I can do that when I don't see how I got to through the installation without making the agreement.

I think I understand what you are trying to say. You need to open the application from launchpad and accept the end user licence agreement from there. Then it will work in your browser or where-else you want to use it.

Hope this helped. Please reply to let me know how you got on.

From experience - as a Mac novice I need to ask for help quite often - I kept the screen open sure that very soon somebody kind would get back and try to help for which I am always most grateful; and there is was. As suggested I went to LaunchPad and Safari, my browser, and from there to the site in question and when logged in got the same popup. So did I get it right by going to Safari?

While waiting for the helpful reply I've been reading an alarming article about hacking and the millions of accounts that are accessed by the malevolent every day including '38 million Adobe customers' account details stolen'. But what I don't understand is as I've installed Adobe am I one of those who is vulnerable because if I am there is no real reason - except for a very small one I can well live without - why I need Adobe. I haven't provided any information but for technical reasons do they now have it? Sorry for extending the query but pending your reply I will go back to LaunchPad to test it but not complete the transaction until sure it's a good idea.

Thanks for that I've learned a lot. I have Googled Adobe via LaunchPad looking for 'Accept End User License Agreement and it took me to forums adobe.com and see pages and pages of others complaining about the same problem and railing against adobe for not fixing it. So as I can well live without it that's what I will do. Nonetheless you have helped me to come safely to that conclusion for which I thank you and well deserving the 'solved my question'.
