moving previously purchased items back to itunes

Hi

I have several music tracks purchased at amazon which have been in the past in my itunes library. Purchased a new ipod and these items have gone from the library but are still in my music folder on my pc. I have tried the usual method to transfer them but its not working. What can i do?

I am not very technical so simple instructions would be appreciated! Many thanks
