Lost Library
Aperture upgraded me and now one of my library's is missing. Is there a way of finding it?

Open Aperture and select File->Switch to Library->Other New.
Aperture will search all attached disks (make sure all external disk, if any, are mounted) for libraries and list them in a window.
Hopefully the missing library will be found and you can switch to it. If the library is not found this way post back.
Yeah I did try that. Is there a way to find Library's in finder maybe?
What else have you tired. No sense me going through a bunch of things if you have already tried them.
Unfortunately it's gone. It would take a miracle for it to reappear. Thanks for the help Frank.
You seem to be reluctant to reveal, what has happened to your library, and we don't know your current Aperture version, so it is hard for us to give specific help. So just a few general hints:
Just make sure, that the library is really gone. Upgrading Aperture alone does not remove Aperture libraries. Aperture will create new, empty libraries, if it cannot access the old library, for example, because the volume is not properly mounted or the file system is incompatible, or the permissions are wrong. Then make sure, your libraries are on correctly formatted drives, directly connected and not on remote volumes.

Sorry fresh out of miracles.
If you would just share with us more details of your situation something might be done.
If not you will have to restore the lost library from your backups.

Looking back, I was multi-tasking so wasn’t completely aware of the details of the events that led up to losing what I was working on. I had the library open but it was acting funny with photos missing from albums. I closed down and when I wanted to open the library again it wouldn’t let me unless I upgraded, if i remember right. Now this was a fairly new library and I wasn’t all that happy with the photos I had color correct and cropped but there were things in there that I did like.
Anyway it said I could lose material or something or other if I upgraded. In order to open my Libraries I had to upgrade. So I upgraded and that library wasn’t there when I opened Aperture back up. Or it was but there was no folders or albums just the photos. My main Library is fine. I think library reverted to just projects with no albums or slideshows instead of actually being lost.
I have all the photos, and I started from scratch again much more organized. It’s very complicated to explain that’s why I was reluctant to go into details as I wasn't sure what had happened. Can I access an older version of the Library without actually losing the Library as it stands now? I now believe the project didn't go away but went back to projects without any work that I had done making albums and slideshows.
Thanks Leonie and Frank. Anyway it was hard for me to explain because I didn't know what actually happened other than my slideshows and albums were gone.
Aperture can switch between different libraries, for example, using the command "switch to library" in Aperture's "file" menu. Or hold down the alt/options key ⌥ when launching Aperture.
So, if you want to keep your current version of the library and compare to an earlier version from your backup, you could rename the current Aperture library in the Finder and then restore the previous version from your backup.
I think library reverted to just projects with no albums or slideshows instead of actually being lost.
Perhaps your albums and slideshows are just hidden. The newer Aperture versions since 3.3 can hide complete sections of the library. Hover with the mouse to the right side of the captions to reveal the hidden Show/Hide buttons. Perhaps your albums and slideshows are still there:
If your albums and slideshows are really missing, I'd try to repair the Aperture library, unless Frank Caggiano has a better idea, see this manual page:
Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library: Aperture 3 User Manual
Thanks léonie, good info. I found the Libraries in the finder, where are the back-ups located?
