Glides on my Magiic Mouse

The glides on my Magiic Mouse get build-up and make it hard for the mouse to glide. What do I need to do to correct the problem?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Build up of what. What are you using it on.

This is what I would do. It's not official.

Turn off the mouse. Remove the batteries. Replace the battery cover. Use a small piece of selotape to cover the sensor. Gently rub the plastic with some dry baking powder. Dust off, then wipe the glides with a damp (not wet) lint free cloth. While you are inside the compartment you could also wipe over the contact points. Then replace the batteries and turn on. Click the mouse to activate it.

Do not use a spray or liquid at any time.
