Choppy youtube videos?

I've been currently experiencing choppy youtube videos. The video would load perfectly fine as well as the audio quality not being tampered with. However, the video quality itself has been dramatically shifted. I never had this problem with youtube videos until yesterday.

I tried uninstalling the Flash player plug-in and reinstalling it as well as emptying all the caches.

My storage currently is labelled below:

Available: 399.25 GB

Capacity: 499.25 GB

So I'm assuming that I don't have a storage problem as well.

I tried the Flash player tests that Adobe has provided and all of them have identical results; the video quality is laggy and choppy while sound is fine. This only happens to youtube videos apparently since my iTunes videos that I downloaded are running perfectly fine.

If this information helps, I have the 10.9.2 OS X Mavericks and my Macbook Pro 13'' was bought late 2011 (Christmas to be more precise)
