Q: I recently upgraded my Macbook Pro (2008) with Snowlepard. The I downloaded Maverick. Ever since I did Maverick, my iSite camera won't work for facetime or skype. What to do?

I purchased my Macbook Pro in 2008. My son recently gave me and iPhone 5 and in order to use it I upgraded my OS to Snowleapord, then I down loaded Maverick. Since I did the Maverick thing my iSite camera does not work on Skype or Facetime. I done a few things like reset SMC and the one other thing to no avail. It works in photobooth and things like that, but it doesn't show up in the utilities list. One point it said something about not being recognized or supported? Is the an upgrade for the camera or do I need to get rid of Maverick? Or what?
