Unfortunately, there is no way to achieve your aim legally.

I have ever read that one person can get a previous version from his friend.

But it is illegal.

If you have another Mac which uses a same Apple ID, probably, you are allowed to do.

The best way that you should is to ask 'Apple Support' about it.

Let's backup after this by all means.

I'm sorry for my having no advice to you.

@Narry Rev.

What you are stating sounds really awkward!

He bought the software and thus owns a license to use it! That license is valid for all versions of the software that are within a development cycle.

Since software is an intangible good, he can of course get an older copy from somebody, what matters is, that he owns the license for that very software version.

What is Apple doing to fix this? They have not acknowledged the problem so far. I'm going to copy facetime from my other computer since it is still 1.0.2 and see what happens. Noticed today Apple is trying to trick me like they did saturday, that I can update facetime. Are they bull sh.t or what.

Don't tell the software police that I'm trying this on a $.99 app.

SOLUTION: Have 2 10.6.8 computers, after downloading Facetime 1.0.4 on the lap top, facetime stop connecting and then couldn't sign in. My desktop with facetime 1.0.2 was good.

I put 1.0.4 in trash getting rid of it on my laptop (MacBook Pro).

I went to applications on my desktop and moved facetime onto a memory stick

Went to lap top and opened applications and moved facetime from memory stick to applications.

NOW FACETIME WORKS AGAIN. Screw APPLE for not letting anyone know if they plan or are trying to fix 1.0.4 Facetime. This began to happen years ago on my PC (Gateway) and finally bought an Apple. I intend to go back to PC next time I purchase. 2 days earlier I had same problem when doing an upgrade on Flash Player and had to screw around to get old version back and working.

This is an old trick to force us to buy newer Apples and it stinks. Kind of like rotton apples.

I do not think the current failure/ bug in the new versions of FaceTime on older Macs running an older OS was intentional by Apple. I just think its a programming issues they didn't test and are aware of.

There is no conspiracy here.

So, your attitude is unwarranted.

As far as your Flash Player issues were concerned, this is an Adobe product and an Adobe issue and NOT an Apple issue.

Apple isn't responsible for how other developer's software interacts with Apple's hardware and software.

It is up to Adobe to make the neccessary adjustments/updates/upgrades to make their various software compatble with the various versions of Apple's OS that are still being supported.

So, your issue there is with Adobe, NOT Apple.

So, again, your assumptions and attitudes are unwarranted.

I agree with MichelPM.

This trouble is probably due to Apple's decreasing attention to old Macs and software rather than their malicious conspiracy.

As for the compatibility issue between Flash Player 13 and some of the old Macs, Adobe has released a revised version to solve it.

It is impressive that they have kept users well informed from the early phase of the trouble. I would like Apple to follow Adobe's attitude, but my wish will not likely come true.

To all the users that bought FaceTime for Mac 1.0.4:

I sent today a complaint to contactus.pt@euro.apple.com (I'm in Portugal - Europe and in each case could be a different e-mail address), presenting my case and I received an answer (??) that I presumed to be automatic asking for 4 days to analyse my problem (??). So, I'm going to be a nice guy and wait those 4 days. After that, I don't know. One thing is sure, I refuse to accept what happened. Is NOT a question of the money spent. It's a matter of trust.

Cheers from Aveiro, Portugal

You are a faker. Never said Adobe was Apple's problem. Adobe screwed up and they immediately bit the bullet and told us what to do and that they would be working o a FIX.

What has Apple said? Nothing, because they have made no comment. Working for Apple seems to be your cover.

There is no conspiracy, it's just lack of concern on Apple's part as you said they failed to TEST.

Cut the crap.
