Alright, hopefully this makes sense...

So, I recently changed the e-mail address that is connected to my iCloud account from a Gmail address to an Outlook address. I also changed my password. Whenever I log into iCloud on a computer I have absolutely no issues with it (as in I'm able to use the new email address and password to sign in).

However, whenever I try to log into iCloud through settings on my iPhone or my iPad, the devices only recognize the old email address (Google) that was first attached to the iCloud account. A notification pops up asking for my (old) password which I don't remember since I changed it [the password] and the email address (to Outlook) that is connected to the iCloud account. (Repetative, I know, but please bear with me!)

So, basically, both devices (iPhone and iPad) are only recognizing what used to be the email address and password. Unfortunately, I deleted the Google email (Gmail) account that used to be hooked up to my iCloud since I wasn't having this issue before. I figured all would be good since I did change the email address to my iCloud account to the Outlook account.

Anyways, does anyone know what I can do? I'm really at a loss here and the notifications are getting very annoying everytime I turn either of the devices on. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated (even if it means sending me to the Apple store)! Hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about and has had the same issue before.

    Hi Natalie9565,

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.

I recommend signing out of iCloud on your iPhone and iPad using these steps:

Apple ID: What to do after you change your Apple ID

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5796

    • If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID:

      1. Scroll down and tap Delete Account. Depending on what iCloud options are turned on, you'll be asked to confirm that you want to delete data from your device. To confirm, tap Delete. (If you're using iOS 7 and have Find My iPhone turned on, you'll be asked to enter the password for your previous Apple ID. Enter the password, then tap Turn Off.) The data will be deleted from your device, but not from iCloud.

      2. Enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download again to your device.

If you are prompted for the password for your old Apple ID (iCloud account), first try your current password. If that password is not accepted, see the additional tips in this article:

    All the best,
