Sound issues with Apple TV rentals from iTunes Store

I just rented the Wolf of Wall Street to watch on Apple TV. Unfortunately, the sound is corrupted, and is not playing correctly at all. We hear the music, but the voices and general dialogue just is just gibberish. How do we fix this?
