deleted podcasts keep re-downloading

iTunes for Windows v 11.1.5.5

I'm not seeing a lot of complaints about this problem in the support communities, so I'm guessing it's a problem on my end.

Podcasts I've deleted keep re-downloading. At first I thought it was NPR doing some sort of maintenance as it was only their podcasts. Then I started seeing it with other networks, too. Today several podcasts that I had unsubscribed from and deleted re-appeared.

Any solutions to try?

Hi CharleneC

Try resubscribing them , then turn off auto-downloads in their settings and set refresh podcast on manually then unsubscribe them...

I Hope this could do something :D

Thanks for the reply. The procedure isn't entirely clear (I think there may be a typo or two). Is that what you're suggesting?

re-subscribe

I meant ...

1)Re-subscribe the unsubscribed podcast

2)Turn off auto-downloads ... in podcast settings

3)Set Refresh => manually ... in podcast settings

4)Unsubscribe that podcast
