magnet charging port clogged?

magnet charging port clogged?

my charging port for my 13 inch macbook air is clogged. i had that side face down in my bag n i think small bits of pencil are in there? like a powder? i try to put the charger in and it feels like sand in there. i cant get it out because of the magnet holding it all in. is there any way to get it out?

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2012), iOS 7.1

turn it off, use a dry toothbrush.

if its magnetic particles inside, as you seem to indicate, you can insert semihard sculptors clay into the charting port which will grab the bits and then pull the putty out, then use a dry toothbrush to remove any possible dry clay bits.
