I have a strange problem.
In some of the albums in one of my libraries, the photographs are missing.
For example, the album list on the left of the screen shows 12 photos in the album but the main part of the display is empty. The filter (top right) is set to "Unrated or better" so I should be seeing all photos in the album. I have run a "Repair database" without the situation changing.
Suggestions?

This will not show "Rejected" images. Change the filter to "Show All" and look into the "X Rejected" album, if the missing images are there.

However, I hadn't rejected any photographs so changing to "Show All" made no difference. But thanks for the suggestion! :-)
What kind of album is it? If it is a smart album in the "Favorites" section, try Frank Caggiano's user tip and look for a hidden filter, see this link: Images not appearing in browser, search filter is cleared

It is a normal album, not a smart one. I will keep trying things, although it has just crashed! :-(

Then repair your Aperture library:

Launch Aperture while holding down the key combination⌥⌘ (option-command), until you are seeing the Library First Aid panel. Select "Repair Database".
I have done that.
Now the album I was working with shows no photos in the browser (the same as before) and lists the photo count as zero - which I suppose is correct but very disappointing! Where did the photos go?

Albums are referencing images in your projects, as you probably know. Do you remember, which photos should have been in that album, and project they should be in? Then check that project, if the images are still there. And check the Trash, if you moved them there.
