My iPhone 5 says no memory even tho I have not used much at all

Settings > General > Usage

See what is taking up space on the device.

Alternatively, with the device connected to a computer, look at the Summary tab and see what is taking up space.

I did an update some time ago and after it finished it decided to install every app I ever purchased since the first iphone. So you need to check and see if it installed apps music or movies you may have erased in the past.
