Can someone fix my problem? Safari is slow and pop-up ads.

Since a couple of days safari is running very slow and pop-up ads show on the side. So I installed Glimmerblocker and the pop-ups reduced, but for example on wikipedia there are still pop-up ads and underlined words. I've been searching for help and advice on different support sites, but haven't found a solution.

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to computers, but can someone help me?
