App says I need to run as admin, but I AM admin! What do I do?

I keep trying to use an app feature, but the app tells me that I'm not the admin. What's causing this & how do I fix it?

I'm the only one ever on this computer; there aren't even any other user accounts! How do I get access to an app that insists I'm not the administrator?
