Macbook air wont turn on

Hi,

I have a macbook air mid 2013 version which is around 3 months old. I was on youtube and had a game running in the backround. My macbook was not hot at all then all of a sudden my screen froze and the fan turn on really loud. The screen froze and i could not turn my macbook off. Eventually the battery died and my laptop turned off. Now i can not boot up my laptop but i can still charge it as the orange and green light turn on when i charge it.

I should also mention that around 2 weeks ago my macbook air started making very strange beeping noise after every few seconds and noises like there was a spider crawling in my laptop. This happened around the time i downloaded a game. However this had only lasted for around 3 days and never heard these noises at all for the past week.

Choose the method for:

"Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".

Hi, thanks for your reply

I pressed the power button one more time before trying the solutions you linked me. The laptop turned on. The fan turned on extremely loud. I was at the bit where i type in the password to log on but a random letter(s) were being typed maybe because one of the letter on the keyboard was jammed? Then all of a sudden my laptop turned off and would not start up again.

I then tried the solutions you linked me but nothing worked.

no further diagnostics are possible, Contact Apple for appt. for in shop examination and repair

How does the repair procedure work? Do i just go to my local store and there will be someone there to fix it? I have a 3 years warranty on it. Do i need to take something with me there for ID?

Sorry never went to get anything fixed before so new to this. If someone can tell me exactly how it goes. Thanks

If you have AppleCare they'll be able to look it up by your serial number but of course you'll need just normal ID with you.

Just make a Genius Bar appointment and take it in; odds are it will take a few days for them to diagnose and fix.

Don't just walk in with it as the Genius Bar may not have open slots to see you on a walk-in basis.

I would call the store and ask their procedure; they may or may not be willing to let you have a third party take it in.
