gilcry,
before you’d accidentally unplugged your MacBook, had you received messages that its battery needed to be replaced?
No I did not. It was connected to the charger and working fine until I unplugged quickly it by accident and now it won't turn on or charge.
Have you tried a SMC reset?

If available, try a different power adapter.
If no success, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a FREE evaluation.
Ciao.
If your laptop appear totally dead and you're running on battery power, your first step is to connect the laptop to mains power. You may have a completely discharged battery. Give it a few minutes and try to restart.
If doesnt help, press command + control and the power button simultaneously. This may get the Mac to restart. Otherwise, force the MAC to shut down (holding the power button for at least 10 seconds) and try to restart.
If all of these suggestions fail, its time to reset the MAC SMC.
Cheers,
None of this helped and still appears dead. Indicator light on power adapter does not come on either. I tried the smc reset and still nothing. Could it be a faulty power adapter? Everything just seems dead after it was unplugged, which has never happened before.
Try another power souce.
Try "zapping"the PRAM:
Shut down your mac;
Start it up and immediately hold down command + option + P + R.
Let the mac chime two times and then let go of the keys.
