Boot Camp fails saying 64-bit Windows 7 .iso is 32-bit

I've a Windows 7 Home Premium licence. According to Microsoft, the correct .iso for 64-bit Windows 7 home premium is X17-58997. And yet when I try to install this using Boot Camp, the Assistant tells me this is NOT a 64-bit version of Windows and can't be installed.

How can I get around this

MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Can I use a downloaded (ISO) version of Windows with Boot Camp?
MacBook Air (Mid 2011 and later), MacBook Pro (Mid 2012 and later, including Retina models), Mac mini (Mid 2011 and later), and iMac (Late 2012) can install downloaded (ISO) versions of Windows 7 and 8.

To determine if your Mac supports this feature:

  1. Click the Go menu and choose Utilities.
  2. Open Boot Camp Assistant.
  3. Click Continue. If you see a "Create a Windows 7 or later install disk" checkbox, your Mac supports the use of downloaded (ISO) install images. See the Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide for more information.

I hope this information helps ....

I've tried X17-24209 and X17-58997 which are both supposed to be Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I get the same error with both which suggests it may not be a problem with the .iso. Still, it won't hurt to try a third one.

I was wondering if there's a non-Boot Camp Assistant way of moving the right files to the Windows partition as I suspect there could be something wrong with the way Boot Camp looks at the isos.
