Hello everybody, I'm not able to connect my macbook pro and iphone 5s through air play. How do I turn them on? Airplay doesnt show on my scroll up menu on iphone and neither does under the iphone search bar (I tried reinstalling ios but nothing happens.) I'm using ios 7.0.4 and os x 10.9.2 and I wouldn't update my iphone to any other versions.
Any other ways to show iphone screen on the macbook are accepted!

Allright. So i have to buy one of them and install them on both iphone and laptop?
Just on the laptop. The software essentially turns your Mac into an Apple TV and your iPhone will see it as an option for Airplay as long as the software is running.
I believe both offer free trials so you may want to download both and see if you prefer one over the other.

I have used both applications and have AirServer on my iMac. Works nicely on those occasions when I want to see things a bit bigger than I can on my iPhone 😉
