getting iMovie

I need to log and capture (I guess in iMovie) on my iBook G4 so I can transfer my film clips on to my Macbook Air and edit them in Final Cut Studio on it (no firewire capability on Macbook Air direct to camera). I have 10.5.8 on my G4 laptop, but no iMovie. Will it be on the install DVD, if I reinstall, and if I do, will I lose any of my data? (I cannot install just the bundled software. I have to reinstall operating system as well.)

Thanks!

It may be on the original Install Disc, as something like Additional Installs, ot on a seperate Disc that came with it, or even an iLife Disc.

Does Image Capture see whatever it is the clips are on?
