Audio not working when on apps, I.e Facebook when directed to another site and snapchat..any ideas?

Please help..not sure what to do. I think I have a fault with the audio on my iPad. It works fine generally, when playing music and getting alerts etc but when I'm using an app such as snapchat, never had audio on the videos and also when using Facebook, if I click on a video that directs me to another site, the audio stops working then too
