Frequent kernel panics since Mavericks 10.9.2 update

Hi everyone,

for last 2 weeks I'm bothering how to solve my late 2011 MBP kernel panics issue. My Mac is restarting randomly once, twice, or 5 times a day, no matter what operation I'm doing at the moment or no metter how high CPU/GPU usage is. I'm not a tech geek but through some web research and after testing my MBP I managed to conclude that restarting is caused rather by software than by hardware. Anyways I have absolutely no knowledge how to make a good use of kernel reports so here is my kind request – please someone help me find the solution. I've already tried reinstalling some extensions (that could possibly cause the problem) like Tuxera NTFS, Hear (sound booster), but nothing helped.

After each reboot I see the message "your computer restarted because of a problem" and after logging to the account I get looking more or less the same crash report:

Have you tried running the computer with the original RAM to see if the problem still exists?

Not yet... I'll try. I've just found similar discussion with almost identical kernel panics on iMac's community and read information that changing RAM helped. Strange because I used to use my Kingston HyperX 1600MHz modules flawlessly for 2,5 years (even though 1600MHz frequency isn't officially supported by late 2011 MBP). I've tried resetting NVRAM/PRAM at some point of my investigation and it didn't help.

I'll put the original ones for some time and see what happens. If it helps, what's wrong with my Kingston RAM? Should I ask for warranty replacement or it's not their issue?

Apr 13, 2014 6:24 PM in response to stedman1

OK, now I've got it.

I've just put original RAM modules inside and I'll give it a try. If there'll be no kernel panic for next 2-3 days you're deffinitely right.

So then the only solution for me to achieve higher RAM capacity then original 2x2GB will be buying some 2x4GB or 2x8GB 1333MHz modules? Or are there some tricky limitations I should know about before making the right decission?

I don't believe there are any methods to trick the system into using the higher speed RAM. I'm basing my suggestions on the posts I've seen here on the forum with the same issue. Please post back with results of your testing, and maybe in the meantime other users that have the same model computer as you can comment if they have similar results.
