Q: AirDrop

I have airdrop switched on to contacts only on both iPad and iPhone - have received photos on iPhone but can't see contents to share myself? Nor can I see contacts available in iPad.

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1

If you're using the same Apple ID on both devices and both have Settings > iCloud > Contacts: ON, it will automatic sync.

Same id and contacts on in iCloud - photos steam ok but can't airdrop them. I received some from someone but I could send to her - no contacts came up to select - just shows the airdrop symbol and that contacts will appear automatically

Thanks have done all that and no contracts are there even though within range - will pop into apple shop some time to see what they can do

My friend with iPhone 5 just came over and he AirDrop some images as well as a contact to my iPhone 5s.
We both are on IOS 7.1.

Yes, do that it's easier to troubleshoot with the iPhone in the hand.
