Configure HP Photosmart C4180 for Wireless Printing

I purchased an HP Photosmart C4180 All-In-One and a D-Link DP301U USB Print Server. I can print over my network from my Windows XP laptop, but not from my PowerBook G4.

I cannot find the printer in the add printer utility (it resets to generic postscript printer). As far as I know, this printer is not a postscript printer. I have updated the printer software.

Any ideas about how to make this work? Which protocol should I be using? The print server is compatible with OS X, but I have not found any info on v 10.4. D-Link support is incapable of helping Mac users.

It worked! Thank you!

Here is what I did:

1. "Add Printer" in print dialogue box
2. IP Printer tab
3. Protocol: LPD
4. Address: IP address of the print server
5. Queue: blank
6. Name: whatever you want to call it
7. Location: blank
8. Print using: HP
9. Driver: HP Photosmart 1100 Gimp-Print

It's not the fastest, but it works.
