Updated FaceTime but can´t use it

(Snow Leopard 10.6.8. on my MacBook)... I updated FaceTime but I can´t use it. The sign keeps saying:

"You have been disconnected from FaceTime services. An internal error occurred that disconnected you from all FaceTime services. To resume using FaceTime, quit and relaunch FaceTime."

I restarted my MacBook but I keep seeing the same pop-up-sign.

How can I fix that problem or how can I get my old FaceTime-version back? I tried to find "downgrade FaceTime" but I couldn´t find it. The sooner I get the solution, the better.

Found a solution.

The 1.04 version of FaceTime definitely has a bug.

Solution? Revert back to the previous version.

If you have a recent or near recent cloned backup of your previous system and the earlier version of FaceTime is in your previous system backup, you can simply drag out the new, improved version out of your Applications folder (the new, bug ridden 1.04 version I placed in my home folder. ) drag out the dock icon, as well (as it may still be linked to the new version of FaceTime).

I dragged out of my cloned system backup (still located in my Applications folder) my previous 1.02 version of FaceTime into my current system into my current Applications folder and then dragged the FaceTime icon back down into my OS X Dock.

Click on the FaceTime icon in the Dock and voila, you will have a working FaceTime version, again!

Once you have a working FaceTime back, you can decide if you want to drag the new version (still saved in your Home folder) into the OS X Trash and empty.

Hi, MichelPM,

Thank you very much for your messages. I did what you suggested me to. Then the same sign popped up:

"You have been disconnected from FaceTime services. An internal error occurred that disconnected you from all FaceTime services. To resume using FaceTime, quit and relaunch FaceTime."

I restarted my MacBook and clicked on the older version of FT, but no luck, because the same sign popped up.

I then emptied the trash, where the new version of FT is. The same sign still popped up. Actually there´s no FT 1.0.4 in my MacBook any longer, but I still can´t use the FT 1.0.2. Is there any other way to make the FT 1.0.2 work?
