Iphone 4 Can't delete music

Got this issue with my iphone 4, I can't delete music off it.

when i sync it to itunes and untick the 'sync music' on itunes then click 'sync' there are still about 300 songs on my iphone

I have tried everything:

- signing in and out under settings>itunes and app store>show all music. is off.

- Icloud is turned off

- under usage on my iphone it says there is 2.2gb of music still on my phone.

how do i delete it?

.. and when connected to itunes under the music option it says there is no music on my phone..
