iTunes continually crashing while setting up iTunes Match

After subscribing to Match, iTunes continually crashes while sending Library information to Apple. Sometimes it will get past Step 1: Gathering Information and proceed to Step 2: Matching your music with songs in the iTunes Store, but it will not complete that step before crashing.

After a crash and relaunch, it returns to step 1.

Sometimes after a crash it does not make it past step 1 before crashing again.

iTunes 11.1.5 (5)

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), 3.4 Ghz, 8GB

Problem solved by creating a new iTunes library.

Quit iTunes

Hold down option key while relaunching iTunes.

Name new library, e.g. iTunes 1

Locate old library

Follow on screen prompts.

I get this problem when on corporate network but not at home. I suspect it's due to the use of proxy on the corporate network, which for my case is mandatory.
