I can't make any updates to my computer, I keep getting an alert that says my start up disc is full. I've deleted a bunch of files, and all movies. I can't figure out whats taking up so much space?

Download and install OmniDiskSweeper
It will tell you the names of the files and folders that are taking up the most space on your disk drive
