No photos being synced, yet taking up HUGE space

My "Photos" data is labeled at 20.46gb, even though photo syncing is UNCHECKED and I have 0 photos on my phone viewable in the app. I would guess something is corrupt, or that something is being cached beyond belief, but I can't figure out a darn way to identify and delete these "photos"...

Here's what I've done:

- Re-checked to sync photos. Now the Photos category is labeled properly (770mb), but "Other" data has increased from 1 or 2gb to over 20gb. Guessing iTunes just moved the archived photos on over to Other.

- Backed up and restored using iLex R.A.T. app (http://ilexrat.com/), restoring from BACKUP. Predicted accurately that with the backup being restored came the invisible photos and the space waste. - Used iLex R.A.T. at the command line to try and erase iOS cache (option 7). Freed up about 500mb.

The only other option I can think of is to use iLex R.A.T. (http://ilexrat.com/) to completely restore the device while maintaining my jailbreak...but then I'll lose, well, everything. Would much prefer not to have to start from scratch :-/

Thank you thank you in advance!

Cheers !
