iPad mini stolen

I lost my iPad mini wifi 16GB iOS7.1 and i already proceed to Remote wipe + lost mode in Find my iPhone.

Now can i locate it after remote wipe? i proceed for both options.... first one lost mode then i proceed to Erase mode.

can i locate when internet will be connect ? i did police complaint about iPad.

anyother way to locate or track.?

please help..
