Save files on iCloud - as in mobilme

Can I use iCloud as a DropBox-thing to save and access files?

I need to access my Word-files from different computers, and I will prefer a Mac/iCloud-solution for a DropBox-ditto.

I know I may buy more iCloud space, but can I use it as I used iDisk in mobilme?
