Q: Have Mac OS X 10.5.8. Want to update to safari 7.0... won't let me ... anyone know why?

Have Mac OS X 10.5.8. Want to upgrade to safari 7.0... it will not let me! Anyone know why?

    Of course it won't let you. You need to be running OS X Mavericks to run Safari 7.

     

    Run "Software Update" and you'll get the latest version of Safari that's supported on Leopard. You can't use a newer version, as the OS doesn't support the APIs that newer versions of Safari require to run.
