how do i reset my apple id on my iMac?

My Apple ID is associated with a lot of things on my iMac. I recently changed my Apple ID and haven't changed it on my iMac. But when my iMac needs my Apple ID, it automatically pulls up my old Apple ID. How do I change this on my iMac (not the internet). I need to change it inside my settings or something so that my new Apple ID comes up when I need to authorize something on my iMac.

Go to the Apple and Open System Preferences

In System Preferences choose Users & Groups

If your lock is locked you will need to click on it and use your master password to unlock it.

Click on you (the user) and on the right side of the window, you will see Apple ID: ........................... and the button Change.

Choose Change

Use the + sign to put in a new apple ID and the - sign to remove an old unused one.

Hope this helps.
