My 4th gen. IPod screen turned blue and won't connect to iTunes.

I was playing on some apps and while doing so my ipod screen turned white and then turned completely blue. I tried connecting it to iTunes and trying to restore it but it didn't work! My ipod wasn't connecting to iTunes! I have tried some different ways like trying to shut it off completely but it's not really showing anything. Does anyone have any suggestion to fix it or should I just try to get a new ipod?

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
