How can i store multiple video footage and photos from 30 different people and so that we can all view and edit then for a film we are creating.

please help me find a way to store large files of photos and or videography from 30 different people.

We want one place to put it so we can each edit and see everything. someone told me drop box was

not save. We do not want to be hacked as we are using for a film we will create.

thanksLinda

Ideally, you would setup an Xsan system and connect your users over fibre channel. But this is very expensive and I'm not sure if all of your users are in one place.

Otherwise, maybe you could use Final Cut Pro X libraries to manage the project, then just keep the video and photo files in a common file structure on everyone's machines. As new footage is added, tell everyone what folder to put it in so you stay in sync. The relink as needed in FCPX as media is added to the project.

By the way, look at copy.com as an alternative to Dropbox. They offer more space.

hi Timdavid,

so, I am not that technically astute. Sounds like Xsan is too expensive.

And it sounds like a big learning curve for me to use Final Cut Pro X.

The goal IS to edit all our photos, videography in one place to weed out

the bad stuff. Would that best be done with copy.com?

Seems like Final Cut Pro X is for editor professionals?

Do you know someone we could hire to help us get all our

photos and videography together and or help us edit for our

actual film.

I live in Sacramento, CA and all the others live all over CA.

I have ideas on how I want the film to go but need a real editor and

producer not far from me..

thanks again,

LInda
