Is GBA4ios safe?

Hi! I have an iPod Touch 5. I just found an app called GBA4ios that simulates a Game Boy Advance. I've seen tons of people use it, but just found out it's not offered in the App Store. I was trying to figure out if it's safe or not to download. I've done a lot of research and have found no bad reactions with hacking and viruses or anything like that, but want to see what you guys think. I'm hesitant to download since Apple does not offer it, but have found no reason to find it dangerous. What do you recommend in a situation with downloading things outside of the App Store?

You will have to jailbreak your iPhone in order to download the game ending all support from Apple. You will also strip all of the security design from the iPhone and make it vulnerable to hacking, spyware, etc. You will receive no further support here.

But if you really want the game it is ultimately your choice.

GBA4ios does not require jailbreaking. You have to set back the clock on the iPod to use it. However, that crreats problem like unable to connect to some sites and services,

It doesn't need jail breaking, you just have to set the clock back. After you've downloaded it, though, you can set back the clock to normal time.

I've seen that you can put back the date to normal time once you've downloaded it. Sorry I'm new to all this aspect of apps and just want to make sure nothing like viruses wil shut down my iPod or anything.
