Anybody have a "work-around" solution to allow Apple TV to access the internet when using a "captive" network?

I have been told by Apple Tech support that there is no "magic wand" to wave to allow Apple TV to work with so-called "captive" networks, i.e., wi-fi "hotspots" found in hotels, college dorms and (in my case) an RV park.

Apple TV (3rd generation), iOS 7.1

That's because there is no "magic wand".

The ATV does not have a browser that many of these networks require to allow access.

The admin of the Wi-Fi network can sometimes add the device by MAC address to the whitelist, but that's not always an option.
