I have set a reminder for myself that goes off on same day every month at the end of my billing cycle to 'Reset Statistics' from Settings>Cellular> Scroll all the way down. I prefer this method instead of installing a app for this.
I am on Verizon and it shows the total data available for all lines in my account.
No, you have to do it yourself or download an app if your provider has an app for this.
