I have brought a new iphone, but i had paid for a few apps that i want to get back but i dont know how to do this, im not bothered about the free ones its just the paid ones

on your iPhone
Go to Settings > iTunes and App Store and sign in with the Apple ID that you used to pay for the apps.
Once this is done, go to App Store app > tap Update > tap Purchased
You will get a list of the apps that you have purchased and those that are not yet on your phone. You can download them from there.
I haven't got access to that apple id i used to purchase the apps, so what am i meant to do now?
Apps are forever tied to the ID used to originally purchase them. They can only be redownloaded for free using that ID.
What do you mean you don't have access to that ID? Is it your ID or not?
If you cannot access the Apple ID used to purchase the apps, you cannot re-download them. With another Apple ID, you would have to pay for them again.
