Managing Imports

I'm trying to import some Christmas music and language CDs into my itunes. However, I'd like both of these items to reside in (separate) playlists, not in the general library. Reason is I don't want these tracks to cycle through the shuffle songs function when I use it. I only want to access these items through the playlist(s). Is there a way to import (or manage after import) these items so they only are accessed via playlist? So far, Apple support has not been helpful.
