Why is my phone saying my password is incorrect every time I change it, then try to log into my apple account?

I am trying to use my apple ID for FaceTime but when I try to log in it keeps saying my password is incorrect. Even when I change the password it still says the same thing. I have changed my password three times and do not wish to do so a fourth time if I can help it. Thank you.

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4

I would first make sure that you can access your account information by using the same username and password here. If you are able to access your account information attempt to sign in again. If the issue persists, try the troubleshooting steps in the article below.
