think thunderbolt would maybe work
not usb windows does not support being installed on an usb dics
about how much ram you need depend on the application when you use bootcamp you're 100% in the same situation as if your mac was a windows pc so as much memory autocad would need on any computer it will use on your mac in bootcamp

What is your external SSD? USB 3.0 is much better than USB 2.0
